Psychological Assessment

Given that diagnostic clarity is essential for successful treatment, the first session will be dedicated to gathering a history, goal setting, and developing trust. This initial 60-minute session will provide clarification on psychiatric diagnosis, in order to develop a tailored treatment plan based on each client’s needs.

Evidence-Based Psychotherapy

Dr. Margot Paul will collaborate with each client to decide the appropriate length of each session, ranging from 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions, based on the client’s specific clinical conceptualization. Dr. Margot Paul is trained to use virtual reality as an enhancement of evidence-based treatments and will incorporate VR-therapy into her sessions as appropriate and with the client’s consent. She currently only offers telehealth sessions through her private practice.

Consultation, Research, and Virtual Reality

Dr. Margot Paul has published research and spoken internationally about using virtual reality to treat adults with depression. She co-created a mobile application incorporating virtual reality into an evidence-based depression protocol. She has also consulted with companies on how to apply virtual reality to mental health treatment. She is available for consultation and research collaborations.
