Psychological Assessment
Given that diagnostic clarity is essential for successful treatment, the first session will be dedicated to gathering a history, goal setting, and developing trust. This initial 60-minute session will provide clarification on psychiatric diagnosis, in order to develop a tailored treatment plan based on each client’s needs.
Evidence-Based Psychotherapy
Dr. Margot Paul will collaborate with each client to decide the appropriate length of each session, ranging from 30-, 45-, or 60-minute sessions, based on the client’s specific clinical conceptualization. Dr. Margot Paul is trained to use virtual reality as an enhancement of evidence-based treatments and will incorporate VR-therapy into her sessions as appropriate and with the client’s consent. She currently only offers telehealth sessions through her private practice.
Consultation or Supervision
Dr. Margot Paul is a part of three different consultation groups and is available for psychotherapy consultation with other mental health providers in the realm of diagnosis, case conceptualization, treatment, and/or the integration of virtual reality. Dr. Paul has provided supervision to trainees and is currently available to provide supervision to mental health trainees.
